Por tercera ocasión Jazz en Dominicana recibe la invitación de parte los organizadores del Indy Jazz Fest a participar de su reconocido festival en el venidero mes de Septiembre. Este año el festival estará entregando su XX! versión en Indianapolis, Indiana en Estados Unidos. En su carta/invitación comentan estar deseando celebrar el jazz por medio de unir a nuestras comunidades, artistas, académicos y entusiastas del jazz.

En esta ocasión ha invitado a Jazz en Dominicana a ser co-participe del festival, presentando en su cartelera del domingo 15 de septiembre:
Indy Jazz Fest & Jazz en Dominicana presentan: La República Dominicana

La presentación músico cultural será realizada el domingo 15 de septiembre en el auditorio de la Indianapolis Public Library. Después de una charla sobre la cultura del país, subirá a tarima la agrupación Pavel and Direct Contact (dirigida por el pianista dominicano, radicado en Indianapolis - Pavel Polanco-Safadit) y los muy especiales y dignos invitados, desde dominicana, los músicos: Javier Vargas, Miguel Montas, y Luis Mojica. El evento es de entrada gratuita. El auditorio tiene capacidad de +500 en confortables butacas y esta situado en 40 East Saint Clair Street. Esa misma noche, habrá una segunda presentación en el reconocido The Jazz Kitchen.

La presentación en la Indianapolis Public Library será sobre la República Dominicana y su música. Después de una breve exposición sobre el país, los músicos subirán a tarima y llevarán al público presente, a través de un viaje musical, a visitar la rica herencia folclórica del país. Merengue, Pambiche, Bachata, Son, Palos, Gaga, Pri-Pri, Guloya, y otros ritmos autóctonos serán presentados al público de la gran ciudad de Indianápolis!!

 

Indy Jazz Fest 2019 invites Jazz en Dominicana to highlight the country's music

For the third time in four years Jazz en Dominicana receives an invitation from the organizers of the Indy Jazz Fest to participate in its renowned festival in the coming month of September. This year is the festival´s XX! edition in Indianapolis, Indiana. In their letter of invitation they comment on wanting to celebrate jazz by uniting our communities, artists, academics and jazz enthusiasts.

For this occasion, Jazz en Dominicana has been invited to be a co-host for the festival’s presentation on Sunday, September 15, billed as:
Indy Jazz Fest & Jazz en Dominicana present: The Dominican Republic

The musical and cultural presentation will be held in the auditorium of the Indianapolis Public Library. After a chat about the culture of the country, Pavel and Direct Contact (directed by the Dominican pianist, based in Indianapolis - Pavel Polanco-Safadit) will be joined on stage by three special guests, from the Dominican Republic, the musicians Javier Vargas, Miguel Montas, and Luis Mojica. The event is of free admission. The auditorium is located at 40 East Saint Clair Street.

About the presentation: It will be about the Dominican Republic and its music. After a brief presentation about the country, the musicians will go on stage and take the audience on a musical voyage, visiting the rich folk heritage of the country. Merengue, Pambiche, Bachata, Son, Palos, Gaga, Pri-Pri, Guloya, and other native rhythms will be presented to the audience of the great city of Indianapolis!!
