Así es Indy, los dominicanos en camino… un grupo de músicos dominicanos, unos residentes en Indianápolis, y otros desde Santo Domingo, representando a Jazz en Dominicana, salen el viernes 13 a participar de la versión 2019 del Indy Jazz Fest, donde ha sido invitada a ser co-participe del festival, y presentará en la cartelera del domingo 15 de septiembre, el evento: Indy Jazz Fest & Jazz en Dominicana presentan: La República Dominicana

Esta presentación músico cultural será realizada en el auditorio de la Indianapolis Public Library. El pianista, compositor, arreglista, líder de banda y educador Pavel Polanco-Safadit y su agrupación Pavel and Direct Contact será acompañada de los músicos dominicanos: Javier Vargas y Miguel Montas; llevarán a los presentes, en un viaje musical, a visitar la rica herencia folclórica del país. El evento es de entrada gratuita. El auditorio tiene capacidad de +500 en confortables butacas y esta situado en 40 East Saint Clair Street.

El repertorio es una selección de temas que resaltan la rítmica folklórica de la Republica Dominicana, e incluye temas como: Cara Sucia Compra Jabón (Carabine); Azule de Metileno (Palo); Como Tu Mujer (Bachata); en diversos estilos de Merengue se tocará Los Algodones, La Chiflera, Guavaberry (en fusión con Guloya), Entre Tu Cuerpo y el Mio, Estupido y Mi Forma de Ser. Como el jazz no puede faltar el grupo presentará las piezas: And Sammy Walked In, Rush Hour y un Papá Bocó bien jazzeao!

That’s right Indy, the Dominicans are coming!!! .. as a group of Dominican musicians, one a resident of Indianapolis, the others from Santo Domingo, representing Jazz en Dominicana will departe next Friday, September 13 to participate in the 2019 edition of the Indy Jazz Fest, where she has been invited to be a co-host for the festival’s presentation on Sunday, September 15, and billed as: Indy Jazz Fest & Jazz en Dominicana present: The Dominican Republic

The musical and cultural presentation will be held in the auditorium of the Indianapolis Public Library. Where pianist, composer, arranger, band leader and educator Pavel Polanco-Safadit and his group: Pavel and Direct Contact, along with Dominican musicians: Javier Vargas and Miguel Montas; will take the audience on a musical voyage, visiting the rich folk heritage of the country. The event is of free admission. The auditorium is located at 40 East Saint Clair Street.

The repertoire is a selection of songs that highlight the folkloric rhythms of the Dominican Republic, the set list includes: Cara Sucia Compra Jabón (Carabine); Azule de Metileno (Palo); Como Tu Mujer (Bachata); and in various styles of Merengue: Los Algodones, La Chiflera, Guavaberry (in fusion with Guloya), Entre Tu Cuerpo y el Mio, Estupido y Mi Forma de Ser. And since jazz must be presents, latin versions of: And Sammy Walked In, Rush Hour, and a very special version of the famous Dominican merengue: Papá Bocó!
